Finding Your Mojo: Why Every Run Matters (Even the Muddy Ones)

Tough Mudder Competition

Whether you’ve laced up your shoes thousands of times or you’re still debating if running is for you, let me remind you: every run matters.

Running isn’t just about physical fitness or chasing PRs (though those are great). It’s about something much deeper. It’s about discovering who you are when things get hard. It’s about taking the lessons from the road, trail, or treadmill and applying them to the challenges of life.

I’ve been running for decades—through multiple deployments, life changes, career pivots, and yes, through my early 50s. I’ve learned that running teaches us the same lessons over and over: persistence pays off, progress takes time, and the only competition that truly matters is the one against yourself.

What You Can Expect Here

At Running Mojo, I’ll share stories, lessons, and insights to keep you inspired. You’ll find tips to help you become a better runner, reminders to keep showing up, and perspectives that go beyond the miles. This is a space for growth, grit, and yes, a little bit of fun.

Your first challenge? Find your why. What gets you out the door? For me, it’s knowing that every step is building a better me—not just as a runner but as a person. And I hope Running Mojo helps you do the same.

So here‘s to the miles ahead—thanks for being part of the journey.

Let’s get after it.
